Dr. Van is an emerging entrepreneur who is unique and unparalleled in his breadth of knowledge and experience in basic research and intellectual property. He has more than 13 years of research in biotech industry with 11 awarded U.S. patents, over 20 U.S. pending patent applications, and a number of peer-reviewed articles in drug delivery and drug development. He is the inventor of the novel branched mono-protected N-Boc-small-molecule multimeric structures. Prior to Annam Biosciences, Dr. Van was a chief scientist and a head of IP department at Nitto Denko Technical Corporation for 10 years.
Dr. Van received a B.S. in biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego, a M.A. in organic chemistry from San Diego State University, and his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California, San Diego.
